WELCOME TO FULFORD MINDS…

  • Welcome to the Fulford Minds website, the purpose of this website is to inform you of the effects of different mental health conditions and give you advice on how to cope if you or someone around you is suffering from a mental health condition.
  • 1 in 10 young people will suffer from mental health issues. We are led by students who’s purpose is to provide help the ones who need it. We most of all understand the pains and distress of Mental Health issues and how bad it can get, and how hard it can become to get help.
  • As a team we shall work to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health within our school, and try our best to solve the issues associated.

“1 IN 10 YOUNG PEOPLE SUFFER FROM POOR MENTAL HEALTH…”

OUR GOALS AS A GROUP:

We understand that poor Mental Health will always be an issue and a difficult thing to deal with in a young person’s life. Part of our mission statement however is not to eliminate Mental Health issues, but to create an environment within school that will make dealing with such issues far easier for the people affected. Actions such as easing the access to information for students and providing help with seeking any assistance, will help to remove the stigma that surrounds Mental Health as we aim to provide a comfortable environment within school where students can seek support.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT…

“Fulford Minds’ primary aim is to provide an effective environment within school, that if faced with stress or other personal issues, students feel comfortable to ask for help and are provided with support. We want to help the people affected and remove the stigma attached.”

Fulford Minds Team 2017

If you think you may be suffering from one of the issues on our site or something similar tell someone and seek help, whether its friends, family or at school.

Seeking help isn’t always easy, especially if you are not feeling well, it can take time and may not be straightforward but remember it is the first step to recovery and feeling better. Remember this; you are not alone and you deserve support.
